Spyware Removal

In today's internet, computers run a real risk of being infected with a wide variety of malicious software programs called Spyware or Adware.

In contrast to a computer virus which is intended to disable or severely reduce the functionality of the infected PC, the goal of spyware and adware is to generate advertising revenue for the programmers. Unfortunately these programs are often poorly written, causing computer errors, system instability, and what's worse, nearly impossible to uninstall with special removal tools.

Spyware programs are usually bundled with free software tools, or installed through careless clicking of banner advertising. It is vital that only software from trusted sources be installed.

If you suspect that you may have a spyware infection, you will need to download one (or more) of the spyware removal tools that are available, but be careful! Some of the very same spyware companies have created their own sets of tools that may remove their competitor's programs, but keep their own intact.

Spyware Removal Tools

The following spy ware removal tools are well-known and trusted in the internet community. All of the following spyware removal programs work well, however sometime we have found it necessary to use more than one spyware removal program to completely clean very persistent infections.

Symantec is rumored to have an anti-spyware component in the works that will work in conjunction with their Norton Antivirus software.
